AND THE WINNERS ARE...

Right now, 31st October midnight, it is already Halloween, so we can officially announce the winners of the III Halloween Memes/Gifs Competition. Here it goes:

BEST MEME: by ESTELA BOTO (2nd Bach)

We have chosen it because it clearly shows the new changes in the students' (and teachers') daily life due to corona, which, apart from many awful things, has brought TEAMS to our lives. And it seems that TEAMS is here to stay... Besides, Estela managed to associate it to some well-known images of very scary movies. By the way, don't forget that when you get a notification in TEAMS, there is a teacher working too 馃槈!

BEST GIF: by MATEO CANO (4th ESO)

Because it shows that, as students, you may have to face many scary things every day and they don't have to be the typical monsters...  a difficult listening may be one of them.

We must say that all the memes and gifs received were amazing. They were so good that the English Department decided to give a third prize....

2ND BEST MEME: by Patricia Fern谩ndez and Luc铆a Arias (2nd Bach)

Because it combines all the things we asked for: Halloween, our school, lots of (very good) English and, as an extra bonus, a reference to Ceda el Paso, our magazine, which is such an important part of our school.

To sum up, an excellent competition thanks to you all: CONGRATS!!

Looking forward to the IV HALLOWEEN MEMES/GIFS COMPETITION and see what you surprise us with!!

III HALLOWEEN MEMES/GIFS COMPETITION: THE STUDENTS' TERRIFIC WORKS

Now that the deadline for taking part in the competition is over, you can have a look at the fantastic work done by some of your school mates. We won't announce the winners yet, you will have to wait for that until Halloween 馃槇... We want to thank all the students who joined the competition, it is thanks to you that these activities the English Department suggests can get ahead.

Although Halloween is not celebrated in our country, it is one of the most important festivities in The USA and The UK and: Apart from learning the grammar and vocabulary of the language and how to speak, read, understand and write it, an essential part of the subject is to get to know more about the culture of the English speaking countries and that is why there is always a special place for Halloween in our school and there will always be 馃槈!!

The memes and gifs are published in the order we received them, so do not jump to any conclusions 馃槇:
