Twenty students have taken part in the competitions and three of them have sent two works.

You can choose your favourite and then find out who the winners are on 31st October, during the break.

HALLOWEEN 2025

Time really does fly! Here we are about to celebrate Halloween once again and it is already our VIII Meme and Gif Competition and the II Short Clips competition. So start thinking and preparing your scariest ideas in order to make our hair stand on end!!

INSTITUTIONAL PROJECT 4th ESO: Visit to Oviedo, the Fine Arts Museum and Tour of "La Regenta"

On 29th October,  students in 4th ESO went on a school trip to Oviedo. There, they learnt many things about the city, the artworks in the Fine Arts Museum,  the story of the magnificent book written by Leopoldo Alas Clarín, "La Regenta" and the places in the city where the novel took place. 

They had some extra work for the English class: individually or in pairs, they had to prepare a video explaining some of the things they had learnt to an imaginary friend in the UK. Thus, they would practise their mediation skills. 

Here you have some of the best videos made by students. We asked them to be creative and they really were!

Take some time to watch them; you will probably learn something new about the city! We did!

HALLOWEEN COMPETITIONS: AND THE WINNERS ARE...

We must admit that we are thrilled: this year many students decided to take up the challenge and participated in the Halloween competitions, using all their wit and artistic skills to produce the works we showed in the previous post. Thank you!!!

Her meme shows all we asked for: our school in a ghostly way, a wicked witch and a creepy image that we can all identify with if such a terrible thing happened to our school...

BEST SHORT CLIP: Matthew Harvey (2nd Bach)

You will all agree that we have a genuine film-maker among us 📽👏!The sound effects, the editing, the script... are just mind-blowing. And what about the learning? Even better! Don't forget: procrastination kills!!

All participants got a special marshmallow lollipop and a no-homework pass. Besides there were balloons for everyone who attended the ceremony.

Here you have the winners with their presents (30 euros each to spend as they like!!!) and the proud English teachers.

LITERATURE AND CULTURE LESSONS ABOUT THE UK AND IRELAND

Last week, on Friday 6th October, all the students at the school (except those in 2nd bach who are really busy in their last year at school and cannot spare any time at all) attended different lessons that helped them learn English in a different (and much more fun!) way.

Only two students chose to use the "calling my mum" lifeline. It was so much fun 😂: Damien called his mum and the students talked to her to find out what the correct answer was. They were so shocked!!!

Students really enjoyed the activity, so we are just looking forward to repeating again!
