THIRD TERM SPEAKING: 2nd ESO BILINGUAL GROUP

This term your speaking test will be a PRESENTATION for the rest of the class. The topic... A COUNTRY in the world!

First, you should decide which country you want to talk about.

Then, you should look for information about that country and prepare a script with all that information. You must include, at least,  these topics:

    a. Introduce the country and say why you have chosen it

    b. location

    c. population

    d. climate

    e. landscape

    f. places to visit

Next, you must decide which multimedia resource you want to use: PowerPoint, Genially, Powtoon... and prepare a nice presentation to show your classmates and support your talk.

After everything is ready, you must upload the presentation to the folder I have created in Teams, so that I can project it quickly in class. You should include your name on the file.

Remember!!

  • you cannot read it, so the slides shouldn't include much information
  • try to use the vocabulary studied to talk about the weather, geography...
  • use adjectives to make it richer, comparatives and superlatives...
  • it should last between 3 - 5 minutes.
I will use this RUBRIC to assess your presentation, so make sure you pay attention to all the elements in it 😉.

IMPORTANT: those students who will take  part in the mini-stay in Ramsgate (The UK), can make the presentation about that experience. Remember to include this information in your presentation:

  a. tell us about Ramsgate

    b. your experience with the family you stayed with

    c. the lessons and activities at the school

    d. the places you visited

    e. what you liked the most / the least, why?

    f. any funny anecdotes

    g. would you recommend the activity? why?

Don't forget to use CORRECT VERBAL TENSES. Since it is a past experience, you will have to use mostly PAST SIMPLE and PAST CONTINUOUS.

We will start the presentations on 24th May. You can decide the order or a random wheel can do so, it's up to you!

Looking forward to travelling to different places with your presentations!!
