4th ESO: Conditional sentences!

As I told you last day, you'll need to check out these videos about conditionals to start working on grammar next class. Try to pay attention to all details, as you will need them to get extra grammar points in class! Besides, at the end of each video there are several links to other videos where you can get in depth into each type of conditional sentence separate.

PAST CONTINUOUS - PAST SIMPLE TIMELINES

Students in 2nd ESO, bilingual group,  have drawn some amazing timelines that show situations in the past that can be explained using these two tenses. The result is just great, congrats everybody!!!

Why don't you have a look at them and see if you can guess what the people were doing when something happened

Do you think you could do with some extra practice to revise some of the vocabulary seen in this unit?

Why don't you try the activities in the link below? I have created them using the app QUIZLET, which offers you lots of possibilities: listen to the pronunciation of the words/expressions, play games, take a test, self-study, etc.

1ST BACHILLER: WEBMIX FOR UNIT 3

The beginning of a new year is a good time to make new year's resolutions and talk about decisions, intentions and plans for the future... And to do this, you might need to revise the different ways of talking about the future we have studied in this unit.

In the webmix below you'll find plenty of resources to do this, as well as other topics such as formal emails, vocabulary, videos, etc.

So get down to work by clicking on the image!

SOME GOODIES FOR BOOK LOVERS

For those who love reading, and still prefer to enjoy the pleasure of having a book in their hands, we have got some great news: the library has purchased quite a good number of interesting stories. Let's have a look at them!

SOME CLASSICS...

If you like reading, these classics should be considered as compulsary:

We start with JANE AUSTEN and her complete works, in a beautiful edition. We are sure that you already know about some of the most famous ones, which have been turned into fantastic films or TV series: Pride and Prejudice, Emma, Sense and Sensibility, among others.

Then we have the most famous works by the Brönte sisters, Charlotte and Emily. If you like romance, you are going to love these two: Jane Eyre and Wuthering Heights.

Still within the classics, if you prefer adventure or horror stories, these three are a basic read: Treasure Island, by R. L. Stevenson, Dracula by Bram Stoker and Frankestein, by Mary Shelley.

MODERN CLASSICS...

We have also decided to get some novels that have already become classics. Just click on the photo if you want to get more information.

POPULAR BOOKS AMONG TEENAGERS...

Finally, we have also acquired some books that have become very popular these past years.

Remember that, apart from these new acquisitions, the library also has many other books in English, which we bought a couple of years ago: more books by John Green, Harry Potter's complete series, The Hunger Games, etc.

Now there is no excuse for reading 😉!

Edgar Allan Poe and Halloween

Although Halloween seems to be far away, we thought that these projects worth to be published. If there is a modern writer that deals with horror, suspense, ghosts, murder and mystery this is Edgar Allan Poe. We have worked with some of his "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" in 4th Year ESO and this is the result. Hope you like them! ;)
