LIFE 25 YEARS AGO WHERE YOU LIVE

Students in the second year have worked with a LEARNING SITUATION that implied investigating life in the past. They interviewed their families and also did some online research to find out what life was like in the area about 25 years ago, in the 1990s. They chose among different topics: family life, entertainment, clothes and fashion... They also had to consider the differences with life now, something that implied lots of critical thinking!

If you want to learn about this, have a look at the fold-out posters they prepared and then presented to the rest of the classmates.

MAKE AN INFOGRAPHIC ABOUT A BOOK OR A FILM

Students from 2nd year have worked really hard on this LEARNING SITUATION and they managed to create some beautiful comic stories.

Besides making the comics, they presented them orally in the English class, giving more information about the stories and the main characters. Surpringsingly, most of the sutdents chose well-known fairy tales.

Here you can see them:

AND THE WINNER IS...

Today is Halloween!!! And we cannot think of a better way to celebrate it than to announce the winner of the VI Halloween Memes/Gifs Competition!

This is the winning meme:

Why? Because it clearly shows the teachers' desperation when we see that students make the same mistake once and again. The mistake could be any, not just that in the meme: *I have 16 years old, *Peter work in a bank, *My from is Spanish... Besides, the design of the meme shows the transition from a peaceful situation to a really spooky one at the end, in which teachers want to tear their heads off! Even the font type is different and much creepier! That's the Halloween spirit!

And the author is Leo Durrer (2nd ESO). Here he is, with the prize:

And here we have the rest of the participants, who also got a "no-homework pass" and a spooky but yummy/mummy treat:

Javier and Ismael couldn't attend the prize giving ceremony because they had an exam (things that happen when you are in 2nd bach 😭). Don't worry, they got their presents too:

And the rest of the students had a surprise too: lots of Halloween balloons to play with:

This is the end of the Halloween celebrations at school, but we have a loooong weekend ahead and tonight is Halloween, so you can still celebrate it a bit more with your friends. Have fun!!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
