In this unit we are going to talk about our environment, starting from our homes, but also our towns, cities and, in the end, our planet, the Earth.

As you already know,  prehistory is the time before the invention of written language, which is one of the reasons why it is so fascinating and intriguing. When we talk about prehistory, we tend to use a range of words. Let's find out how many of them you know.

PRUEBAS DE CERTIFICACIÓN DE IDIOMAS 2026 PARA ALUMNADO habLE QUE FINALIZA 4º ESO

 Se ha publicado en BOPA del 11 de febrero la convocatoria de pruebas de certificación de idiomas para el año 2026. Al igual que el curso pasado se contempla un procedimiento por el cual el alumnado que finaliza la etapa de ESO cursando el programa habLE puede participar en la prueba en su convocatoria de septiembre de forma gratuita.

La inscripción se realizará en el IES Selgas una vez los alumnos hayan titulado. En esta infografía tenéis un resumen de los pasos a seguir:

3rd ESO LEARNING SITUATION: MY FITNESS WEEKEND

Students in 3rd ESO have been learning English at the same time they learnt about health and healthy habits. All this led to a learning situation in which they had to schedule a healthy weekend and tell us about it. Here you can see the results:

BRAINBOX ABOUT AVILÉS AND NIEMEYER CENTRE - INTERDISCIPLINARY PROJECT 2ND ESO

After their trip to Avilés and Niemeyer Centre, students in 2nd year have prepared a set of BRAINBOX cards about the different places, monuments and interesting buildings they discovered during the visit.

Mind-boggling invertebrates!

Octopuses are widely considered the most intelligent invertebrates. They don't have a shell to protect themselves from hungry lurking predators, but they make up for this weakness  in the wittiest of ways. Check it out!

4th ESO LEARNING SITUATION: A VIDEO OF A MYSTERY SCENE

After working with UNIT 3, which was about mysteries of all kinds, students were ready to write their own script for a mystery scene and then recorded it themselves. They could adapt one that already existed or create a new one, which is what most of them did.
