INTERNATIONAL DAY FOR TOLERANCE: A presentation by 3rd ESO B students

Last 16th November we celebrated the International Day for Tolerance: The students in 3rd ESO B have prepared a presentation in which each one briefly describes themselves with three simple sentences.

USEFUL PRACTICE OF IRREGULAR VERBS (ALL COURSES)

STUDYING IRREGULAR VERBS is probably one of the issues that causes more trouble. However, you shouldn't complain, verbal tenses in Spanish or French are much more difficult!

Here you have a game that allows you to practise the main verbal forms. You can use it to compete against your classmates and see who gets better results 😉!!

To be able to play, you must know all the verbal forms the game asks you to know:

INFINITIVE: the verb in the first column, for example EAT

SIMPLE PAST FORM: the verb in the second column = ATE

PAST PARTICIPLE: the verb in the third column = EATEN

PRESENT PARTICIPLE: the verb + ING = EATING

PRESENT HE/SHE/IT FORM:

the verb plus the famous third person "-s"  in the present simple tense  = EATS

Unit 2 will allow you to learn about the digital world, which is such an important part of our lives nowadays. 

In this post, you will find activities that will help you practise all the things seen in the unit.

Let's start with a CROSSWORD that includes most of the vocabulary studied on page 15.

You know that verbal tenses are an essential part of any language, so we in this unit we keep working with those related to the PAST. Apart from revising PAST SIMPLE and PAST CONTINUOUS, we learnt a new verbal tense: PAST PERFECT. We also had a look at the conrast between the PRESENT PERFECT and the PAST SIMPLE tense. Here you can find explanations and practice for all these tenses:

For the first term, you will have to record a VIDEO about 2 minutes long. You have to tell me a story (it can be real or fiction) on the topic “The most exciting/frightening/embarrassing event in my life”. It has to include these items:

Ø  INTRODUCTION: Where? When? Who? What?	1,5 p.
Ø  MAIN EVENTS IN THE STORY	3p
Ø  ENDING/CONCLUSION	1,5 p.
Ø  GRAMMAR: use the Past Simple and the Past Continuous, Present Perfect and suitable time expressions.	1,5 p.
Ø  VOCABULARY: phrasal verbs, technology, extreme sports, adverbs of degree.	1,5 p.
Ø  PRONUNCIATION AND INTONATION	1p.

 Remember:

• Be natural, don't read
• Upload it to TEAMS (I will create a task for you there).
• Include all the items in the table, each one has a punctuation.
