1ST ESO B NON- BILINGUAL: WRITING UNIT 4

Hi again! I hope everyone is fine and trying to fill their time as well as possible. Since the quarantine is going to last for some more weeks, here you have some work for this week (30th March - 3 April).

First, you have to do a WRITING , the one in unit 4 , page 50. I have prepared some instructions here in English and Spanish. Don't worry, you can hand in your writings when we get back to school.

Second, watch the video by One Direction (Harry Styles' band) and listen to the song "Little things". Then, do the activities in this sheet.
Next week , I will post the answers to the activities.

MIXED CONDITIONALS - UNIT 5 2nd BACH

You have learnt the most interesting things about conditional sentences, so it's time to learn some more advanced things. 

MIXED CONTITIONALS

As the name says, they're a combination of a SECOND and a THIRD conditional, so basically, they are a combination of a present/future situation (secondo conditional) and a past one (third conditional). Remember that we cannot change the past, so the third conditional is the easiest to recognize. 

Watch this video that, apart from revising conditionals in general, explains in a very clear way mixed conditionals:

I have also added a powerpoint explaining these sentences to OneDrive. You should have a look at it.

Now you should be ready to practice them a bit: write MIXED CONDITIONALS with the information given. You have the correct answer on the back fo each card.

La Editorial Macmillan, además de la página web a la que ya accedéis con el nombre de usuario y contraseña que os ha dado vuestra profesora, ofrece acceso a más recursos relacionados con los libros de texto.

Es importante que leáis con detenimiento las instrucciones para poder conseguir acceder a ellos:

Están accesibles en la PUPIL'S CORNER, a la que podéis acceder siguiendo un proceso de registro muy fácil, para el que no necesitáis ninguna contraseña, sólo un correo y la contraseña que queráis poner vosotros. 
Aquí tenéis las INSTRUCCIONES. 

ACCESO A CONTENIDO EXTRA DEL LIBRO DE TEXTO Y WORKBOOK
Este proceso es un poco más complicado, y para ello necesitaréis un código que aparece en la contraportada del workbook. De nuevo, es muy importante que leáis bien las instrucciones. Para acceder a este recurso no valen los datos que os dio vuestra profesora. Tenéis que ir a la página PULSE LIVE y seguir estas 
INSTRUCCIONES. 

Finalmente, nos han hecho llegar un enlace en el que se pueden practicar los verbos irregulares, algo que nunca viene mal, no? Esas interminables listas con tres columnas (más el significado en algunas de ellas). 
Para poder jugar, tenéis que tener claras todas las formas verbales que piden: 

INFINITIVE: el verbo de la primera columna, por ejemplo EAT

SIMPLE PAST FORM: el verbo de la segunda columna = ATE

PAST PARTICIPLE: el verbo de la tercera columna = EATEN

PRESENT PARTICIPLE: el verbo + ING = EATING

PRESENT HE/SHE/IT FORM: el verbo más la famosa "S" del presente simple                                                                                                       =EATS

4TH ESO BILINGUAL: NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION VOCABULARY

Only 7% of communication is in the words we say. 40% is transmitted by our tone of voice and body language accounts for 53% of communication. Did you know that non-verbal communication was so important?

2nd bach SPEAKING THIRD TERM: A FILM REVIEW

You will remember that the third term speaking test would be a presentation in class about a film. Since we probably won't have much time for that once we go back to school, I have decided that you will do it using the app VOICETHREAD. It is very easy to use and you can do it with your mobiles, tablets or PCs. Here you have a TUTORIAL to help you with the process.  Once you have, you just have to send me the link to my email. Before sending it you must be sure that the sound is good, it's very important. 

As for the content, it is the same we had decided in class: a review of a film you really like. Of course, it has to be a film in English.

It's very important that you include all the elements we talked about and that appear in the RUBRIC I am going to use to assess your presentations. 

The DEADLINE is 9th April, so you have plenty of time to do it.

To inspire you, why don't you watch this video? It contains clips from graduation ceremonies in films, something you will also do this year 😊.

I cannot help posting this second video. I know, I know, it's not Christmas, but it is so moving...💓!! I am sure you'll love it. Jonh Lewis is a department store in London and every Christmas they prepare a special commercial. These ads have become famous and people are looking forward to watching the new one when Christmas is near. 

With the writing, we have finished UNIT 5, so it is time to revise. You must do the following activities:

1. Workbook, pages 44 and 46.

2. Workbook, page 47 Cumulative Grammar, exercise 1. 

3. Workbook, page 93.

If you finish quickly and want to work more (😉) you can learn more vocabulary with the activities on page 106 (Workbook).

I will also publish other posts with extra activities for revision, and, don't worry, they'll help you improve your English and have fun too.

2ND ESO BILINGUAL GROUP - SOME ACTIVITIES

How are you all doing? Just in case you get bored of doing nothing at all, I suggest that you do some more activities. They will help you revise some contents we have already studied and learn new things too, I am sure.

2ND ESO BILINGUAL GROUP: A PADLET ABOUT THE FUTURE

You have the password in the email I sent you. This task should be finished before tomorrow at 14:30.

Hello again. Some students are having trouble getting access to the padlet. The thing is that many students and teachers must be using this app right now and it gets stuck. Don't worry: send me the sentences to my email, I will correct them and send them back to you. Then you can upload them to the padlet whenever it is possible. I forgot to tell you something yesterday: try to be positive!! We all want to read nice and optimistic things right now 😉!

INSTRUCCIONES PARA TRABAJAR LA MATERIA DE INGLÉS DURANTE EL PERIODO DE NO ASISTENCIA A CLASE POR EL CORONAVIRUS

Ante la situación excepcional en la que nos encontramos, que ha obligado a la suspensión de la docencia presencial, el Departamento de Inglés quiere ofrecer al alumnado una serie de recursos que les permitan seguir practicando los contenidos trabajados hasta ahora en cada nivel. 

Se recomienda que durante estas dos semanas, cada alumno trabaje de manera autónoma aquellos contenidos que considere más necesarios, de manera que, cuando se retomen las clases, se pueda avanzar en los  contenidos nuevos con la seguridad de que los ya vistos están afianzados.

Los recursos disponibles son los siguientes:

1. BLOG DEL DEPARTMENTO

Es aquí donde se concentran la mayor parte de los recursos para todo el alumnado. A la derecha de la primera entrada hay un menú en el que se ven los distintos cursos. Es ahí donde deben pinchar, en el curso correspondiente,  para acceder a cada una de las entradas que hay publicadas para cada unidad. 

En estas entradas se trabajan los bloques de vocabulario de cada unidad y también contienen enlaces a webs que permiten practicar los contenidos gramaticales con ejercicios que contienen autocorrección. 

Es importante que sólo trabajen aquellas sobre las unidades vistas en clase. 

2. ALUMNADO DE LA ESO: 
- PÁGINA WEB DE LA EDITORIAL.

Aquellos alumnos que hayan recibido de su profesor/a las claves de acceso para trabajar en esta plataforma, deben hacerlo, especialmente los bloques de comprensión oral (listening) y escrita (reading), así como los vídeos para practicar la comprensión oral. También pueden trabajar los contenidos gramaticales y léxicos relacionados con los vistos en clase hasta ahora. 

Si no recuerdan su clave de acceso pueden solicitarla por correo electrónico a su profesor/a. 

Este recurso no estará  disponible para aquellos alumnos que no hayan entregado la autorización parental que se solicitó al principio del curso.

Al final del cuadernillo de ejercicios los alumnos disponen de un apartado de gramática (páginas de color amarillo) con explicación teórica y ejercicios de práctica de los contenidos vistos en cada unidad.

3. PLATAFORMA ONEDRIVE

El alumnado de bachillerato tiene a su disposición en esta plataforma todas las presentaciones vistas en clase en las que se explican los contenidos de la materia así como ejercicios para repaso/profundización. 

4. ALUMNADO DE 2º BACHILLERATO

Teniendo en cuenta las circunstancias especiales de este nivel, además de trabajar los contenidos vistos utilizando los recursos mencionados en los apartados 1 y 3, la profesora publicará entradas en este blog con pruebas EBAU, que deberán hacer y enviarle por correo electrónico en el plazo que se establezca. 

También se subirá material a OneDrive  que permita avanzar en los contenidos de la unidad 5 que se estaban trabajando en estos momentos, aunque se revisarán cuando se vuelva a clase. 

Recordad que ver series o películas en V.O., leer lecturas adaptadas, escuchar canciones en inglés, etc. es también una manera de practicar vuestro inglés, además de manera divertida.

Estos momentos van a suponer un desafío para nuestro alumnado, que deberá mostrar un alto grado de responsabilidad para trabajar de manera autónoma, algo que estamos seguros van a hacer.

Your first task is to do these EBAU tests. You already know how to do so: take your time to decide which option you prefer and then do that one. It would be great if you did the other one too: the more you practice the better!

The dealine to send them to my email is next Thursday 19th March. Please, write the aswers in an attached WORD document, so that I can print them and send you back the corrected version.

Apart from this, remember to revise everything we have seen in class so far, IN ALL THE UNITS.
